Merge Cells in Excel Custom Download in APEX

Hi ,

My requirement is on click of download button my report should be downloaded in the xls format as below:

I have created custom download process and its getting downloaded in the below format:

dpvd_report_img_2.PNG

Is there any way to merge the headings in custom excel download? I am using APEX 5 universal theme.

Please help.
