Memory utilization and settings of Standalone Collocated agent through Node Manager

mfanning2010Feb 14 2019 — edited Feb 15 2019

Hello,

We are using ODI 12c 12.2.1.3.0 and we have the source and target database on the same MS SQL Server and we are trying to reduce the amount of memory the ODI Standalone Collocated agent running through Node Manager. Stopping and starting the agent shows it uses around 800mb on start up prior to running any jobs. Once a job is run the memory can increase to almost 1.1gb.

Since the source and target database is running on the same server (and configured as physical schemas within the same Data Server within Topology) I am wondering why it is using that much memory if no data is running through agent, it is simply running queries to move data between the databases?

Is it possible to safely reduce the memory settings of the agent? If so where would that be controlled?

Thank you
