Memory leak in SQL Developer 24.3.1

Alwin DieperinkAug 12 2025 — edited Aug 12 2025

Hello,

I have a memory leak when I try editing a table structure. If I only display the Columns tab, no issue, but as soon as I display the Indexes tab, and then close the table's tab, the consumed memory starts increasing (with doing anything in SQL Developer) until it reaches the maximum configured value. After that, the only way to stop SQL Developer is to kill the process from the Task Manager.

Has anyone seen this issue and found a workaround ?

I'm using SQL Developer 24.3.1 on Windows 11.

Regards
– Alwin
