Memory for crash kernel not within permissible range

I just followed the following steps and after a RHEL 5.3 server restart I go the error 'Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) not within permissible range'

1. Stopped Oracle 10.2.0.4 database.
2. Successfully used cp (copy) command to copy 20GB database .dbf files to another location on the same server.
3. Restarted the server and now getting this error,

'Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) not within permissible range'

Please advice how to bring back the server.
