Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) not within permissible range

821168Dec 4 2010 — edited Jul 21 2011
Hello,
I have just downloaded the "developerday" virtual appliance to my 64-bit computer. After importing and starting, a terminal window opens, writes only a few Linux specific lines (which unfortunately I cannot copy to the clipboard), then writes the message "Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) notwithin permissible range" (original spelling) and halts. Is the appliance not suitable for 64-bit systems? What can I do?
