Meaning of exit status in Oracle silent mode installations...

I'm doing 11.2.0.2 SE Database software installation on a RHEL5 machine...

when i see the exit status it's mostly a non-zero value even if the installation is successful.

INFO: Successfully executed the flow in SILENT mode
INFO: Finding the most appropriate exit status for the current application
INFO: Exit Status is -3

Do anyone have an idea where to find the meanings of the exit status? or what are the ideal conditions help us to get a zero return value?
