MDS-01335 - xliffBundles - definition was not found in MDS configuration

Jdev: 11.1.1.7.1

I have enabled my ADF application for customization by following Oracle ADF Tricks: How to build customiseable Oracle ADF Application in easy steps and tested it locally - everything works fine as the MDS is a file based repository on integrated WLS.

Now I try to deploy it to a standalone WLS and I face this error:

Error weblogic.application.ModuleException: :oracle.mds.config.MDSConfigurationException:MDS-01335: namespace "/xliffBundles" mapped to metadata-store-usage "MAR_TargetRepos" but its definition was not found in MDS configuration.

Some points to note:

1. The standalone server is a soa server and has MDS RCU installed - unsure though if ADF RCU is any different from SOA RCU. My understanding is that SOA RCU contains ADF RCU for the worklist customization.

2. When I generate the ear, on the same folder I find mar file - AutoGeneratedMar
