Update for archived thread:
As of 11.2.0.4, it still does not refresh correctly. This is bug 16934526
As there have been no updates to the bug "enhancement" request, I must assume it is not in 12.1.0.1, and still not in the que for 12.1.0.2. This in my opinion does not reflect well on the overall product support for locator/spatial, as a key component (spatial index) does not work correctly with this materialized view functionality of the enterprise database which is used quite frequently for loading external table data, and in DW environments.
Hopefully this is an oversight and it really is in the que and will be there when we adopt 12c at 12.1.0.2. Does anyone in the spatial team have any insight into this?
