mapping, userPrincipalName sAMAccountName

Hi,

Synchronization is all set up, external authentication plug-in is also working fine but I have one rather annoying issue left.

The problem:
Not all of the AD users have the userPrincipalName set.
Instead the still have sAMAccountName set.

As a result when using the default mapping file there will be no UID created on the OID which also means you can't login with that user.

Now i've been playing a bit with adjusting the mapping file but so far I am failing miserable.

Does anyone have any pointers on how to tackle this problem ?
