Manual startup of 8i database

Hi I 've Oracle 8i(8.1.5 release) for NT. I runs it on Windows 2000 professional platform.

When I logon to my machine Oracle Database gets itself startsup automatically,and so it takes too much time to start my machine completely and also acquire too much memory.

Is it possible that I can start Oracle Database mannually as in Oracle 8? So why it will faster starting up of my machine. It shouldn't starts automatically with windows startup..
