Mandrake Java 5 + Netbeans Linux installation Error

I've just downloaded the latest Java + Netbeans and I'm trying to install it on my Mandriva/Mandrake 10 linux system. Whenever I type the command to do so I get this error...

Initializing InstallShield Wizard........
./jdk-1_5_0_07-nb-5_0-linux-ml.bin: line 189: bc: command not found
./jdk-1_5_0_07-nb-5_0-linux-ml.bin: line 404: [: : integer expression expected

Any ideas how to fix this problem?
