Managing both x86 and x64 JREs - does order of installation matter

At my company we manage both x86 and x64 versions of JRE on all x64 systems... Is there a best practice or recommended order of installation of these? Someone here mentioned to run the 64 bit installer AFTER the 32 bit installer.
