manager approval

692528Mar 24 2009 — edited Apr 2 2009
I am trying to make a resource self-servicable and provision the resource on users manager approval. But the problem I face is
- when ever I raise a request for the user It always goes to xelsysadm and then the manager
( whereas It request should directly go to manager for approval )
- After all the approval it show me status provisioning
( When I assign AD resource directly through xelsysadm it will provision the resource but when i do it though self-servicable request it always shows the status provisioning

Am I missing anything in the configuration. This is what I had followed to achieve the above task. Any pointer on this will help!

1. In the resource object I had checked "self request allowd and auto launch"

2. In the process definition on "AD User" I checked auto Save form.

3. Created new process definition and I checked "auto save form and auto prepopulate" after saving the form.

I clicked on ADD button to insert a new task with name Manager Approval Process and in the "assignment tab" under "target type" I selected "Request Target user's manager" and removed xelsysadm under the column "user"

4.in the admin console under the "Xellerate user " organization for the permitted resources I had assigned "AD User"

=Thanks in advance
