mailing oracle alert log error from database

hello all,

actually i am asked to mail database status, and error occured in last 24 hours in oracle 10.2.0.1 mission critical database daily....i have configured SMTP and UTL_MAIL on server but don't know how to mail error from alert.log and listener.log in last 24 hours????

i can manage other requirements, but it is really going to be tough to mail some lines and error codes occured in last 24 hours in that alert.log file.is there any table in database that record all error messages written in alert.log with description ?????

i ma using RHEL5.2 AS.. so any help will be highly appreciable...
