Mac jDeveloper 11.1.1.4 (can't open application via mapped drive)

MichaelD.GoddardMay 22 2012 — edited May 31 2012
Here is my current set up:

Mac OS X 10.7.4 (MacBook Pro)
jDeveloper 11.1.1.4 installed and up and running with no issues
Windows 7 Virtual Machine - Running on VMWare Fusion 4
ClearCase subversion 7.1.2

I have a IBM Rational ClearCase view up and running on the Windows 7 Virtual Machine. What I am trying to do is use the Mac (host) jDeveloper IDE to work with the ClearCase view.files that are on the Windows 7 Virtual Machine. Using the Mac, I have mapped the Windows drive to the Mac. This runs with no issues and I can access the Windows drive and all files on that drive via the Mac finder or any application installed on the Mac BUT jDeveloper!

jDeveloper on the Mac will not see the mapped drive at all. I open up jDeveloper on the Mac, Open Application and then within the dialog box, navigate to my desktop (this is where the mapped drive is by default) yet it does NOT see the mapped drive at all.

Is there a setting I need to implement or is this a limitation of jDeveloper for Mac? Should I have a different set up such as instead of mapped drives, use shared folders (I can't seem to get Windows to share folders with Mac but can share vice versa using VMWare Fusion.) I need to be able to access the ClearCase view in order to work on the project.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. I have spent hours on Google trying to find a solution and have search this forum as well to no avail.

Thank you and have a great day!
Michael
