lucreate zfs can't exclude or include FS, what to do?

Somehow, i cannot find the topic anymore, so i repost my last message:

Even if this topic is older, it is still valid.

IMHO, the concept is wrong in this place!

Upgrading the global zone in a new BE should of course be possible without touching local zones.

There is a way missing to exclude local zones from lucreate - otherwise, you create snapshots of the local zones and patch global and local zones alike, which is not what you want!

In case this is not clear:

The local zones are running, so data are changing on them - maybe including databases, for example.
Having snapshots of them is totally pointless.

Instead, you want to create a BE for only the global zones, patch it, luactivate it and boot into it.

Only then, you can attach the local zones and update them to the current version.

So, it is totaly pointless to create snapshots of local zones when creating a new BE.

This would only be of use, if the local zones contain to dynamic data - or are down anyway.
