lsnrctl status

If i issue lsnrctk status command in one of my solaris server it returns error
like
LSNRCTL for Solaris: Version 10.2.0.2.0 - Production on 24-NOV-2008 22:53:18

Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=XXX.WORLD))
TNS-12535: TNS:operation timed out
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00505: Operation timed out
Solaris Error: 145: Connection timed out
thats it never returns anything. And when i connect to db it returns ora-12157 error
$ sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.2.0 - Production on Mon Nov 24 22:36:12 2008

ERROR:
ORA-12157: TNS:internal network communication error
