lsnrctl Linux Error: 111: Connection refused

Hi Team,

Recently i came across some issue, thats related to listner services,

in my environmewnt already listner is running and database is accessable too,

[root@SRV-4ORAFIN01 SORCBUAT]# ps -ef |grep -i tns
orasorcu 637 1 0 May14 ? 00:02:05 /u01/app/orasorcu/product/11.2.0/bin/tnslsnr SORCBUAT -inherit

However , while checking its status thru lsnrctl commnad its failing

[orasorcu@SRV-4ORAFIN01 11.2.0]$ lsnrctl status $ORACLE_SID

LSNRCTL for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production on 05-JUL-2012 03:40:51

Kindly give me some tips to trace out issue,
