LRM-00109: could not open parameter file problem

Hi Gurus,
I have installed Oracle 10g.
when i tried to start it up it gives the following error.
Can anybody give suggestions how to resolve it.

SQL> startup nomount
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
LRM-00109: could not open parameter file 'C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.1.0\DB_1\DATABASE\INITORCL.ORA'
