Lost DB connection when internet connection drops or fails.

Hi all, I have been asked to post this issue on this Forum.

This is the situation:

- Pc or laptop connected to internet.
- Database instance on that machine.
- If for some reason internet connection is lost, actual connection to the database: TOAD, 6i, 10g, etc. Drops.
- Db is always up, have to reconnect.

How do i control this ...? is there a net parameter to avoid this, i mean, connection to the DB should not drop, listener should remain up since Db is also up.
