Lost DATA diskgroup DATA using ASM. How can I get DBID from RMAN...

552320Sep 27 2007 — edited Sep 27 2007
I am trying to find the database DBID. I heard that RMAN backup generates the DBID in the log files, but I have not been able to identify it. I need the DBID to start mount from RMAN without the current spfile. I lost all the datafiles, control file and spfile, but I have a Monday's backup with all that data.

I know that I can the DBID from V$DATABASE.DBID, but the database instance is down.

Thanks,

Terry
