Lossy data - inverted question marks

Hi Folks,

Linux - 11.2.0.2.0

When I try to insert special characters (' € @ and the like), it turns as inverted question mark or some junk values.

NLS_CHARACTERSET = WE8MSWIN1252

Please suggest on the same.
