Logon with/without @ on Linux Server

597927Jan 28 2010 — edited Feb 2 2010
Hi!
I have a x86_64 GNU/Linux, Red Hat 4.
This machine has 4 database instances running.

One of these for, when I log:

sqlplus user@instance, it works fine.
But, when I export the ORACLE_SID and log without the @, it doesn't work, what happens is:

ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory

The database works just fine.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks a lot in advance,
- Glaucia
