Logminer using online catalog

Is there a way to use the online catalog to start logminer from a different database(other than the source) where i mine the archive logs. Based on oracle's documentation it is not possible, but is there a workaround to achieve this.

EXECUTE DBMS_LOGMNR.START_LOGMNR(OPTIONS => DBMS_LOGMNR.DICT_FROM_ONLINE_CATALOG);

Any thoughts on this would be very helpful.
