Logging Messages

Looking for any easy and efficient way to log the complete soap envelope or http request of the incoming request messages.

I'm using 10.1.3 and am lost in log4j config madness. Can anyone point to an easy way to get a log file setup with just request messages (or request and response messages) without a bunch of extra stuff in the file?
