Log4j email sending on error hanging java thread application

Hi,

I have a java application that has two Thread running apart from the main thread. I am using Log4j for sending email on errors. The application is working fine with start up and sending emails on error. But the application is getting hanged after some time like 30 minutes. Please advice.
