a delete statement running on the new database showing:
waiting for log file switch (checkpoint incomplete) in v$session
The new database has 10 times larger redo logs than the old db and the logs are multiplexed.
the redo logs are sitting on raid10 and the muliplexed ones on raid1.
the archive logs are on raid10.
the new db also has more memory than the old db.
however on the old db the delete finishes in 7.5 minutes whereas on the new one it takes sometimes 20mins.
Its a very weird behaviour.
