Lock user connections during schema refresh...

DB: 11g

It there anyway to lock/block all connection to user during schema refresh..

options I have currently:
1. Bring listener down (but it will made full db unavailable which I don't want)
2. Lock user account... (will it also block other user who has got schema access rights? )

any other options?
