Location of log files

OS: WindowsXP/RHEL 5
DB: 11gR1

SQL Developer:
Java(TM) Platform 1.6.0_11
Oracle IDE 2.1.1.64.45
Versioning Support 2.1.1.64.45

When running Oracle SQL Dev I get an error and the following reference to a log file:

IdeConnections%23Stagingdb.jpr.

Where would I find this log file (above)? Is it a temporary file or permanent? I looked on the client and the server but can not find it.
