Loading Driver ata.bef <- takes forever or freezes

807559Feb 4 2005 — edited Mar 16 2005
I've installed Solaris 10 x86 about two weeks ago. Today I made a few minor changes with the hardware configuration. Now, I can't boot Solaris or even re-install or upgrade it.

The booting process freezes while 'Running Configuration Assistant' or 'Loading Driver ata.bef'. Now I have to give up trying Solaris. Why do they make the OS so complicated? Masndrake Linux or even Knoppix Linux happily installs itself withour a hitch.
