Loading dimensions and data without OWB
80611Mar 28 2006 — edited Mar 29 2006I am in the planning stages of migrating from Express Server to 10g Olap. Eventually we will build a data warehouse with OWB, but in the short term I want to build the 10g Olap cubes from the same flat files that support the existing Express Server database. I have built the dimensions, cubes and measures using AWM.
I am looking for advice on the best way to load the database from the flat files. Should I write dataloader programs and run them from the OLAP Worksheet in AWM? If anyone can point me towards relevant documentation and sample programs, I would appreciate that as well.
