LO V.s L1 Backup

Prince_AlexApr 19 2011 — edited Apr 20 2011
Hello All,

Working on Oracle 10g R2 Under UNIX Solaris

I'll like to get your inputs on the following
1-L0 Backup run once a week: Saturday
2-L1( Cummulative Incremental) Backup runs other days except Saturday
3-Tracking file is enabled

A) LO backup include db files + some archived log files ( exple 1,2,3,4)
B) L1 Backup include db files + some archived log files ( 5,6,7,8)

Question:
In my understanding L1 backup should also mention archived log files 1,2,3,4 recorded from the previous L0 backup.
*I guess this is because those previous archived log files contains blocks changes as well and can be used in case L1 db files are corrupted

Thank you for confirming this idea or sharing your thoughts

Thanks
