Listener very slow

Hi, I have a Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production in Linux db01 2.6.32-100.0.19.el5 #1 SMP Fri Sep 17 17:51:41 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and when my gateway is out, the Listener is very slow.
What can be? What I need to check?
