I'm new to Oracle. On this "oracle concepts" page: https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/CNCPT/startup.htm#CNCPT602
It says:
The listener creates a dedicated server, which can start the database instance.
Is it a typo or the listener does create a SERVER? What kind of server? Can anyone help to explain a bit please? Thanks.
