Linux SHMMAX and HugePages

Hi there,

I get a little bit confused in case of SHMMAX while using HugePages in Linux.

Do we need to set the SHMMAX parameter in case of using HugePages ?

We are using Oracle 11.2 on SLES 11.3.

In doc Oracle 301830.1 there is a clear declaration for shmall.

--> Using HUGEPAGES does not alter the calculation for configuring shmall.

Can anyone confirm this for SHMMAX ?
