Linux or Unix.

Currently my all instances running on 32-bit windows 2003 server as 32-bit version of windows is having memory limit of 2GB I am just able to utilie 1 % of ram for SGA, Now after lot of discussion I am having two option if I stay on windows platform I having two option either need to switch my OS to 64bit or if I am using /3GB /PAC switch on 32 bit I just can increase the size of DB_BLOCK_BUFFER which is already depricated parameter on 10g and then again I will be not able to use ASMM.

Now guys what I am planning to suggest mgmt that If we need to go for change of OS then why not linux or unix(SUN,HP) personaly I prefer Linux (bcuz of cost and even oracle started its version of Enterprise linux) as administration point of view I am equally comfortable on both OS.

can you guys help me to get some links from where I can get cost comparison between UNIX and LINUX or any stuff on this topics which supports my view on linux so that I can prepare better presentaion.

regards
Shamsheer
