linux fileserver

Hi Friends,

We need a centralized repository of all the Oracle apps documentations we had in our office, so the need of a fileserver arises.

I want to learn to setup a file server. We have a test linux server OEL 5.3 which has test 9i Db, 10g Db, and 11gDb.
But these test databases are not so active all the time. So I want to share a portion of the disk space as file server
because it has lots of freespace.

Can you help me please how to setup the most easy file server for linux? I know there are lots of file server options,
But I just want the basic ones that comes by default with the linux OS. Can you give me docs links on how to setup
this?

I heard of somethiung like :

yum install vsftpd
then make the changes you want in /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

Please help....

Thanks a lot,

Ms K
