linux command 'id'

537341Nov 23 2006 — edited Nov 24 2006
Hi again,
I was not really sure whether my account is a member of dba group so I tried the linux command "id" and these are the output:

jocelyn@jocelyn-desktop:~$ id
uid=1000(jocelyn) gid=1000(jocelyn) groups=4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29( audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),106(lpadmin),110(scanner),112(admin),1000(jocelyn )

If your evaluation states that my account is not a member of the dba group, then how can I be member of dba ? Im using oracle database 10g express edition. ( os, ubuntu 6.06). I need help please. I cannot continue the exercises in chap09 because of this problem.

Truly yours,
Jocelyn
