Limits of PHP

PHP 5.3

We have several small applications in Oracle Forms, but the need for Oracle Forms is going away.

I have reviewed PHP and written several small pages that connect to Oracle.

My question

Is PHP 5.3 suitable  to write small applications that would insert, update, email and print small amounts of output?
