Like mapping behaviour in FDMEE

carmonteFeb 18 2016 — edited Feb 18 2016

Hi guys,

I have a FDMEE mapping question. We have following LIKE mapping:

test.gif

Case 1: Rule does map source member B_123456 to target member B_456 in HFM. B_456 exists as custom1 member, hence validation and export runs without problems.
Case 2: Rule does map source member B_567890 to target member B_890 in HFM. Target member does not exist though.

What I would expect from FDMEE is to skip the line, go to next line, apply next rule and map B_890 to target Project_TBD, which actually exists as HFM member.

But FDMEE stops here and validation fails.

Is that behaviour normal? The more I think about it, the more I think that this a bug. I cannot believe that this behaviour is intentional or wanted.

What other possibilities do I have to automatically merge non existant target members and map them into an existant member without manual intervention?

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Carmonte
