Licensing 64-bit Oracle-Client

Hello,

do we need to licence an Oracle database client (64-bit Oracle-Client) if there is no other Oracle component installed in production? We need to use the MS SQL Server's linked servers feature to connect MS SQL Server 2012 SP1 with a remote Oracle server using Oracle client software.
