libaio package missing, dbca can not execute sqlplus, but libaio exist

Dear there, I just installed sql 11g on my T60 running Ubuntu 8.04. I can run sqlplus /nolog on a terminal with no problem. However when run the dbca to create my first databse, at the last step, it complains that libaio is missing. I pressed Ignore and continued and got error jova.io.Exception that sqlplus cannot be executed. Is there any idea why dbca can not find the /lib/libaio.so.1 when it is there? Thanks.

I just started using oracle, and would like to create the first database before i can proceed -:)
