Left Side Column Issue

I am using Apex 21,2

I have created a page with the Page Template: Left Side Column.

The left side is for a search region and the right is for the results (report).

The problem is that I can only put one item in a row in the search region,

I would like two side by side

The items in this region have no option for

Also the region is not recognised

Any help would be appreciated
