left outer join does not return rows desired

metalrayMar 22 2016 — edited Mar 22 2016

Hi SQL Experts,

I cant get my head around why my left outer join is not returning all rows from the left table that did not fullfull the join condition.

T_EU_GROUPS

A

B

A5

T_EU__POSITIV

A   Lion

B   Lion

A5 Horse

A Horse

B Horse

select *

from

(

SELECT

EUG.GROUP AS GRUPPES,

POS.GROUPAS GRUPPEG,

SPECIES

FROM T_EU_GROUPS EUG

LEFT OUTER JOIN T_EU__POSITIV POS ON EUG.GROUPS  =  POS.GROUPS

)

where GRUPPEG is null

So for Lion there is no A5. I need to see that.

Thanks
