Learning Shell Scripting

I am thinking of learning Shell scripting . I don't want to be an expert in this , i just want to know whatever an Oracle DBA must know. So i have two questions for you guys

1) Should i learn script in Korn shell(ksh) or Bourne shell (bash)? Which one is the most commonly used shell by Oracle DBAs

2) Is there a books that covers all fundamentals that you would like to suggest?
