LDOM Live migration and Sun Cluster 3.3 or +

user220123Sep 26 2011 — edited Sep 26 2011
I'm investigating getting some new T4-4 servers and building a ldom farm (similar to a vsphere/vmware model).
I understand that it's possible to manually trigger live (or warm?) migrations of LDOMs.
I'm trying to understand the following in context of Solaris Cluster:

1) if SC is installed in the control domain, what/how does the Live Migration work?
2) If SC is installed in the guest domains, does Live Migration work? if so, how would the clusterware make such a live migration happen, given that it's in the guest domain and not the control domain?
3) when a live migration does happen, do the mac addresses of the ldom migrate as well? Or is the migrated ldom assigned new mac addresses based on some calculation on the alternate physical node (Control domain)?
