LDOM fails to boot from cdrom

807567Oct 30 2008 — edited Oct 5 2010
Basic questions on this one.
I've been following several threads to develop my LDOM config. Everything looks good when I run #ldm list -e.

- after telnet localhost 5000, I get the {ok} prompt.
- {ok} show-disks, shows my cd-rom, my vdisk, and my iso

{ok} boot cdrom. Attempts to boot from /virtual-devices/@100/channel-devices@200/disk@1........2 erros
1. timeout receiving packet from LDC,
2. Communiciation error wth Virtual Disk Server.
Error: boot-read fail
Can't open boot device.

I did add the :f after to see if that would resolve the issue, no luck.

Ok, now my question
1. when you are at the {ok} from telneting in, how do you break out? my only solution was to #. sc>break -y, and halt the controller. Not the best way of doing it. I would like to exit out of the Ldom back to the controller.

thanks
bill
