LDAP (Oracle Internet Directory) Goes Down Often

I am trying to install a connector and I am running into a problem with my Oracle Internet Directory. When I boot my system, it comes up and I see it when I check in Oracle Enterprise Manager. However, after a short time it goes down and it tells me that "No LDAP instances are currently running". I then stop the process and start it again for it to come back. Where do I need to look to find out what is causing this? Also, any ideas as to what may be causing this?
