LDAP function call error

Hi,
I have been successfully using a custom LDAP authentication in an appllication for over 6 mnths without any problem with many users all of a sudden I have a couple of users who are in LDAP and the specific group authorized in LDAP to access my application yet these users are getting:

ORA-31204: DBMS_LDAP: PL/SQL - Invalid LDAP Session.

Error ERR-10460 Unable to run authentication credential check function.

Has anyone run into this type of error with a custom LDAP function call. They have tried multiple browsers and turned off any VPN they were connected to. I can't figure out why most users are able to get authenticated and these couple folks can't run the 'credential check function'.
