Ldap error 81 during OAM - Identity Server Installation

71569Aug 19 2008 — edited Aug 20 2008
Hi All,

I've followed the procedures listed in the Oracle documentation:
http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28196_01/idmanage.1014/b25353/vde.htm#CDEDGGGE

The procedures seem to be straight forward but the installation always fails at the point when it tried to connect to the OVD (data anywhere) with the LDAP error 81. Also, I get the following error message from the vde.log (OVD server),

DEBUG - DoSManager: UnBind: /10.11.22.52. [LDAP-1]
WARN - DoSManager: Found unbound connection from active ip addresses.[Session: /10.11.22.52]
[DoSManager]

Here is a summary of my installation procedure,

Steps done in OVD server:
1. Generate a new New Key (press Generate New Key) in the OVD Manager
2. Using the new new key from step 1 to generate "Key Sign Request" in OVD Manager
3. Copy and paste the Key Request from step 2 to generate CA certificate and also, root CA (chain
file) from the Microsoft CA.
4. In OVD Manager, press "Import Signed Cert" to import the CA certificate generated in Step 3 and overwrite the New Key in Step
1

Steps done in OAM server:

5. During the OAM Identity installation, the root CA from step 3 is
used as the root certificate for the OVD LDAP server (data anywhere defined in
the installation program).

Any idea? I've submitted a tar to the Oracle but so far, no solution! Any hints and helps are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
